Good afternoon Nerds. Welcome to Armageddon Expo Melbourne 2012. I woke up at 5:30am full of beans. I did my hair and makeup and had a cup of coffee while going over my notes. This keen nerd arrived way too early for the festival, comic festivals are like Christmas to me . This year there were 100's of rad costumes I wanted to share with you dudes. Sit back, relax and enjoy the first in a 4 part post of Armageddon Expo 2012.
As I was wandering in to grab my day pass I saw this cute Supergirl. I loved the different take on the conventional shoulder length straight blond hair.
Just hanging out with my old pal Chewie, giving him tips on how to die his fur.
As I was perusing the many lovely stores I saw this dudes rad sk8board. Then I realized it said hoverboard, then I looked up. What's up Marty Mcfly? That's one sick ride you have there.
By far my favorite costume of the festival. This man did not give a hoot. He wanted to be the ever stunning Dazzler from X-men, even though he was a dude. But he did it anyway, and doesn't he look amazing. The disco ball necklace really topped it off for me.
I ran across the room when I saw a Fiona from Adventure Time. When I asked if I could take her photo she replied "Did you want all of us in it?". All of a sudden I was flooded by the entire cast of Adventure Time (even Gunter). Amazing costumes and rad that they all came together... mega commitment.
Just wandering along when all of a sudden behind us lurked Slender man from the awesome indie game of the same title. Click here to download it for free. Creepers gonna creep.
I don't know if it's just me, but I always feel so safe when there are Ghostbusters around. Thanks guys.
Once again shopping away, not paying attention, when Liam says "Did you see who the shop girl is?" Oh Rapunzel, you are so pretty. She even had her fry pan and Pascal.
I don't really play minecraft, but man I wanted one of those swords. Soo rad.
I am uber keen for the long awaited feature version of Tim Burton's Frankenweeie. I have been re watching some of my favorite Mr Burton movies recently to get in the mood. I think I hyperventilated when I saw a corpse bride and Victor float by.
Two of the tallest Star Wars characters I've met. These guys towered over me. One again I love the hockey player (with stick) version of Chewbaccca. Hard to top the original, but I think he did a rad job.
Well guys, that's it for post one. If you thought these costumes were good, stay tuned for later this week to have your mind exploded.
