The sun is shining, the lovely decorated energy drinks are all out and it's time for another day at Armageddon.
Nothing annoys me more than when people who don't know anything about comic books come to a festival and ask people who they are in their awesome modified costumes. It's easy to come in an old school Batman or Poison Ivy onesie. But to be original. To take the best elements of a character and make it your own, fills my heart with glee. As I approached this girl to take her photo a lady asked her "Who are you meant to be?". "Captain America" she replied shyly, half feeling she needed to explain herself. Well let me tell you; You don't need to. Together lady Captain America and I should have slapped that woman silly. I love the new take on lady Captain America with the umbrella as a shield and your rad hair.
A simple yet lovely costume. Nurse from Silent Hill. "Make her do that creepy pose" Liam whispered in my ear, but before I could say anything she got real creepy.
What an elegant Catwoman and mega dudely Bane. Bane even put on the voice for me which was lovely. (Please note I am doing a peace sign not flipping the bird. Man I am awkward.) Probably two of the nicest people I met all day.
You know I love me some females dressing as male characters. Riddler, Penguin and Two face. Love the Riddlers staff and the look on Penguin's face. (What am I doing with my hands? I have no idea)
Liam and I were mega excited when we saw this rad guy dressed as our beloved Ant Man. I've never seen someone dressed as him before so it really made my day. That helmet is so well made.
And to top off another awesome post of awesome costumes is this amazing Batwoman. I would have loved to come dressed as her. I love the classic pose she is doing and the fact that her actual hair is red and not a wig.
I hope you nerds enjoyed post 2 of Armageddon Melbourne Expo 2012. Stay tuned next week for parts 3 and 4.
