These little fur balls wake me up at this time every morning regardless of whether I have to go to work. Time for kitty num nums.
Time for my breakfast cinnamon and date oatmeal and b12 supplement. Yum
The night before my best friend Emma was visiting from Canberra. She is looking for houses to rent as she is moving to Melbourne too. *YAY* After staying the night and having a delicious breakfast she gave me this rad bag as a gift to take to the markets. Thanks Em.
I caught the train to the Prahran markets and set about finding obscure ingredients for some of the new recipes I was going to try. Kale, tamari and dragonfruit.
After an hour I had only been to a few stalls and got carried away at the specialty nut and spice place. Time to relax with a cup of coffee at Market Lane. I found out that they are no longer offering soy milk as they feel it wrecks their coffee. But for once I didn't care as I usually order a specialty pour over when I go to Market Lane. Today's coffee was Gatunyu from Kenya. It has rich tropical notes paired with maple syrup and rum.
After wandering around for hours I was directed to a rad little Asian supermarket type stall at the market that sold only vegetarian/vegan products. Chia seeds, flaxseed oil, organic tempeh. I was in nerd vegan heaven. It was super hard to stick to my budget. I can't wait to go back next week and try some more products.
Home from the markets and I am exhausted. Time for a nap.
After my nap It was time to head back out again to the city. I had some printing and craft stuff to get. I listened to 'Static X' as I waited for the tram.
Printing collected and glitter glue in hand, I headed to Starbucks for yet more coffee.
Time to relax at home and watch some Seinfeld. I plan to watch the entire series in the next 2 months. Elaine is my favorite. She makes me laugh so much and I love her hair and outfits.
I lent on the rad recipe book Emma made me as I painted my nails with glitter.
Time to try out some new craft ideas. At the moment I am obsessed with making felt brooches.
I walked down to meet Liam after he finished work.
Super busy day with lots of running around paired with coffee and craft. What a great day off.
