What a beautiful and sunny day in Melbourne. It was the first Sunday Liam had off in ages so we got ready and caught the 72 tram to the radical Camberwell Markets.
Look at the grin on my husband. Is there anything better then that in life. This was Liam's first time trash n' treasureing since we moved to Melbourne 6 months ago. We loaded up on coffee and we were on our way to toy town.
The first toy we saw was a little fast food type toy of Wonder Woman in the Justice League. Very awesome, but it would get lost in my Super lady cabinet as it's so small.
Pristine and still in box Robin Cycle. So beautiful but the guy wanted a bit too much for it.
I think we found ourselves a Tom Green fan. Perhaps he wore this to Tom Green's concert a little while back. Perhaps it's just a coincidence. But overall this shirt is super fly. "We can't have you not have enough cheese on your cheese sandwich."
How adorable is this needlepoint? Pretty sure I need it to hang in my kitchen. Look at that chipmunks little diner jacket. So fancy.
There is one market store that always seems to surprise me when I visit. It's a lady that looks about 60 but has some of the best toys and memorabilia ever, but she doesn't know much about what she's selling. Very odd. On this day she had two awesome items. Original Transformer. Beautiful colours and huge.
And this amazing Dumbo teapot. I fell in love the moment I saw it. It is from a line of tea pots that Disney put out including a very rare Mrs Pots and Chip set from Beauty and the Beast. At only $50 this was a steal, but it was off pay week and I only had a mere $10 to spend for the entire market. I was so upset. The following week Dumbo had gone. :(
Is there anything more attractive then this man looking through toys? I think not.
Lets play Spot the rad toys. If your going to collect toys it's important to rumage and just to show you what you'd miss out on I'll list the rad toys you can see in this photo:
*Baby from Rodger Rabbit *Remi from Ratatoui *Belle from Beauty and the Beast *90s Batman *Miss Piggy from muppet babies *Donald duck *101 Dalmatian *Animaniacs *New generation Polly Pocket
Super rad Godzilla toy. Only $5. What a steal.
I loved playing this game so much when I was young. 'Tip it' originally came out in 1965 and was super popular from the start. The object of the game is to collect as many coloured discs as you can while keeping the acrobat balanced. It's so hard. Unfortunately the guy selling this wanted $50 so it was a no go today.
So after a rad morning at the market I left with only one thing. This rad hand painted Yosemite park shirt. It has a wolf, space and comets. Could it get any more awesome.
