Liam had to work and none of my friends wanted to get up early from a huge night before, so it was off to the Camberwell markets... loner style.
At only $7AUS this huge original Disney Hunchback of Notre dame was a steal. Why did I not buy it? Oh that's right. My budget this week was only $8 due to too many great comic books arriving in store this week.
This one rad table had a pile of 80s, 90s and current action figures. Too many awesome ones to count.
How rad is this panther + flowers shirt? The material was lycra as well. Triple awesome.
One market stall had a dreamy collection of original Russ Troll Dolls. So many pink haired ones (My favourite, can you tell?) and 2 giant including a Hawaiian girl and a bride. But my favourite by far was the blue haired troll with a rainbow mohawk. So rad.
How awesome is this Green Goblin. He was the tallest I've ever seen measuring at least 30cms. When I got home from the market and started editing these photos I saw what was at the bottom of this photo. Do you see that arm? It's Darth Vader's. That large Darth Vader is part of a limited run of larger Kenner brand dolls. What was I thinking? I think I need to have a larger cup of coffee before I go next week. How did I miss that? I'm off my game.
I did return home with a few great items and with money to spare. I got a 1960s Disney thermos for 20cents. The image on the thermos is super cute depicting Mickey, Minnie and Pluto in the snow. For another 20cents I got a hardcore Goosebumps drink bottle.
But my pride and joy this week has to be this original Skeletor from He-man. He needs a bit of a wash but I love him so much. He-man and She-ra is a new collection for me, but I have a lot to learn about them.
What is your all time favourite He-man character? Mine is Moss man. The action figure had a type of green fabric on it and he always felt so soft.

HiCazz!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I absolutely love your hair! I used to dye a lot my hair but I've committed so many "hair crimes" that for now I'm with my natural tone.
Yous post made me return to my childhood in a good good way: I watch Hunchback of Notre Dame in a old theather in a red velvet and gold victorian cabin so I felt a real princess. I think that the place made me love the movie, once I see more cartoons today as a "grown up" than when I was a child and prefer books.
Russ Troll Dolls were one of the few presents that my father gave me. I used to hold them and comb their hair while I made a wish which I believed that will come true.
Thank you so much for remind me of these moments,
Mariana
Hey there Mariana.
DeleteThank you so much for your kind message. It really made my day. I have so many hair crimes in my 28 years of living. I think I will do a post on it soon. Soo funny.
I's so glad I could remind you of some great childhood moments. That's so awesome. Thanks for reading my blog. :)

ReplyDeleteWhy oh Why did I not buy that Panther shirt? I hope it's there next time.
DeleteThat shirt is awesome. I don't remember HE-man that much, I watched it a lot, but can't remember the characters. I have lots of pink haired trolls. :)
ReplyDeletePretty sure you should sit down and watch every He-man episode ever made tomorrow. You will never regret it.
DeleteYou should take a photo of all your pink haired trolls and pop it on your blog so I can see.
I really want to move to Melbourne and be your BFF. (Hope that doesn't sound too creepy!) :P
