With the hubbie at work and all my friends recovering from a huge night out I was up at 8am and set off to Savers for a thrift shopping bonanza.
The first thing I spotted was this radical Pokemon backpack. The thing I really love about it is the little plastic sleeves on it to hold your best and most important Pokemon cards. Mine would hold an Oshawott and a Bulbasaur. As I look at this photo all I can think is why did I not buy this? Why?
I wonder if they would let me skate professionally in a derby league with these bad boys or would I look even more stupid then usual.
The most totally trippin'-dicular boombox of all time. I wish I had a romantic mix tape to play in it.
There were far too many bodacious shirts to show you but here were my fave. Most of them I found in the kids section. This is awesome for two reasons. 1: No-one looks for rad adult shirts in the kids section 2: They are heaps cheaper as they are for kids. All these were less then $3AUS each, except the Star Wars one which was $10AUS for some reason.
I have been obsessed with Falcor and unicorns ever since I watched The Neverending Story for the 1000th time a month ago. This little guy was very pretty. I named him Alverdine.
Original Lite Brite still in working condition. These things can sell for as much as $100AUS if the box is in great condition. Too bad some loser put sticky tape across the front. *Grumpy face*
Ok... by this point you can tell what my mood was. My face was hurting from smiling so much. Original flipper toy in box. Unfortunately all the water had drained out of it so it no longer worked. At only $7AUS it was a steal but I am running out of room in my apartment.
So what did one excited Nerd Burger take home from such an epic op shop Haul?
Again from the kid's section at only $3 each. Iron man comic shirt and original X-men 3 shirt. I love X-men 3. Beast looks like a hottie and it's good fun so to all you haters I say poo poo to you.
The best thing I found however were these mugs with little attached lids. One of Flounder and one of Stitch. Not a scratch on them and only $3AUS each. Heaven in the form of a cup.
Do you nerds have any idea how hard it was not to buy everything I took a photo of. I have a strict budget in the lead up to being tattooed next month. What is the one thing you regret not buying at an op-shop because you were too poor?
