The very first pieces of jewellery I ever made were little miniature waffles with Ice cream made from clay. That was over 3 years ago. They were horrible. I spent hours making them. The clay was dirty and I didn't glaze them well. It's crazy to think that this week I made the best miniature food I've ever made and I really wanted to share them with you.
My coffee and gingerbread necklace is my absolute favourite. A little ceramic cup with the Starbucks logo filled with liquid clay to look like coffee is paired with a little gingerbread man I created by hand. I still can't believe how real they both look.
What started as a skill I never thought I could learn has now become a passion. My miniature food never sold at markets or online so I stopped making them to sell and only for myself. I study techniques from YouTube, books, pictures and blogs and I am really proud of what I now create.
This little brownie is just over a cm and is topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, chopped peanuts and a cherry. All parts were created by me using clay.
Sometimes I use little molds and made replicas of things with a twist. I call this my Fairy Kei Cookie. It took me ages to blend the colours together so they didn't have gaps.
I love making Christmas crafts and these sugar cookie earrings can be changed to suit everyone. I purchased some little micro marbles to use for Christmas Sprinkles.
For the first time in a long time I put these all up for sale in my Online Store. I am just so proud to see how far I've come in 3 years.I usually give up if I'm not perfect at something straight away, but because of this blog I am learning to take my time and enjoy the process. I have so much more to learn and I am excited to learn new techniques and try out shading to make cookies and cakes look cooked.
I'm also having a SALE on printed hair bows in the Nerd Burger Online Store. All hair bows are only $6AUS just in time for Christmas. My favourite is the Pokemon one, I wear it most days to work.
Only a few days until December and my Christmas festivities begin. I can't wait to share everything from my favourite Christmas CDs to my Santa list with you nerds.
