I have decided to take my fashion to the next level this year and instead of always wearing t-shirts with shorts and leggings I am going to experiment with different looks. Today is an ode to one of my favourite childhood cartoons Rainbow Brite. A symbol for love, friendship and fun. I couldn't get enough of Rainbow Brite, her horse Starlight with a rainbow mane and the Colour Kids. My room was covered in the toys and the minute I heard the theme song begin nothing could tear me away from that T.V.
What I Wore:
Rainbow Brite Shirt: Thrifted
80s Jean Jacket: Thrifted and D.I.Y
Cabbage Patch Kids Necklace: Nerd Burger Jewellery
Rings:Nerd Burger Jewellery
Pom Pom headband: Nerd Burger Jewellery
Tulle Skirt: Ebay
White Adidas sneakers: Thrifted
For Christmas I received an amazing eyeshadow palate called Electric by Urban Decay. I am loving the bright colours with amazing pigmentation. My fave is the hot pink- Jiltered, and the lime green- Thrash. I have had so much fun placing stripes of multiple colours with a touch of silver.
I made this jean jacket over 5 years ago. I purchased a bunch of kids shirts from the op shop and cut them up to make patches. It was so much fun. I then used 3D fabric paint to add detail and write some of my faves slogans all over it.
I hope you are all having a rad week filled with rainbows and fun. What was your favourite childhood cartoon?
