I have had so much fun making my own custom phone cases using stickers, glitter and Mod Podge. My favourite of which I shared in my last outfit of the day features Qu-Be an adorable happy yellow blob created by The Cute Quipster. Today I wanted to share with you all this quick little tutorial for making your own Sparkly Phone Case for under $10.
What you'll need:
- A hard shell phone case
- Lots of loose glitter
- Gloss Mod Podge
- A paint brush
- A piece of paper
- Adorable stickers, choose any characters you like (If you'd like the same Qu-Be stickers click here)
Make sure your phone case is dry and clean and stick on your adorable stickers all over the front of the case. Be sure to leave some gaps to cover with glitter and also make sure not to cover the camera hole.
Cover all the area on the top of the case not covered in stickers with a healthy layer of Mod Podge. Be extra careful not to get any glue on the stickers.
Place a piece of paper under the phone case. This will help catch all the loose glitter. Now come the fun part. Take that huge tub of glitter and pour it all over the phone case.
Once it's all covered stand the phone case up and tap hard on the table to remove any excess glitter. Take this time to wipe any any unwanted glitter from the stickers. Set aside on a flat surface to dry for a few hours.
Once the Mod Podge is all dry paint a thick layer of more Mod Podge all over the glitter. This will create a barrier and keep your glitter attached for a long time.
With a clean brush paint a thin layer of Mod Podge over the stickers. Be vary carful not to drag any glitter over them. Once you've finshed set the case aside over night and it's all ready to use.
See doesn't it look adorable? Once I made one I couldn't stop. I have one for every outfit now and am always on the look out for cute stickers to make them from. Let me know if you give this tutorial a go and be sure to tag me @nerdburgercazz and #nerdburgercazz so I can see your creations.
