Oz ComicCon Melbourne was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I got to meet my hero Bruce Campbell (More on that later in the week), got to meet so many of you Nerd Burger fans and of corse see some of the best cosplay in the world.
This amazing Pixie from X-men is made by a very talented cosplayer called Chibi Rei. There is so much love and detail put into every element. From the weathering on the boots, to the colour in those incredible wings. Such a fantastic costume that I am so happy I was able to capture for your guys.
I loved this adorable Aquaman. She got the colours spot on and I love the twist on the classic costume with the green skirt.
I saw these two lovely Canadians from all the way down the other end of the convention and sprinted to make sure I could meet them. I am huge South Park fan and was so happy to see Benjamin and Chris loved Terence and Phillip as much as me. The faces on the costume are spot on and I love how they were able to pull off Terence and Phillip's little grey stick legs. Perfection.
My recent obsession with X-Men all started with one fantastic character. Jubilee and I was over the moon to see this adorable Jubliee working at one of the booths. She looks so wonderfully 90s. It's made me want to make a Jubilee costume myself.
Xena and Gabrielle were so perfect that it was hard to tell them from Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor. I loved that Gabrielle was carrying around a huggable Xena pillow. I haven't watched Xena in a long time, maybe it's time to revisit.
Such a beautiful classic Zatanna. I also was able to film a little with Zatanna for my ComicConVLog which will be out later this week. Be on the look out for some of the best editing I've ever done when you see Zatanna. So magical.
By far my favourite costume of the day Frozen Banana Stand employees from Arrested Development. I could not stop giggling when I met them. Such an original idea, I have never seen anyone cosplay Arrested Development apart from Tobias in his short shorts "I blue myself". I would love to see a group Arrested Development cosplay in the future.
The amount of work in this Anna from Frozen is insane. From the sheer amount of embroidery, to the number of pleats in the skirt. I looked into doing a Frozen cosplay myself at one stage and could not commit to the hours and money needed. This Anna cosplay was so perfect it looked like she had stepped out of the film.
After the popularity of the Daredevil TV series I thought there would be Daredevil cosplay everywhere. But I was wrong not only about the amount, but also which version of Matt Murdock I would see. This awesome cosplayer decided to do lawyer Matt Murdock complete with cane and red glasses. So fantastically original and I love the five a clock shadow along with the bruise makeup. So wonderful.
This rad dude's name is Craig, I've known him for nearly a year now and every single costume he does is incredible. He had been working on this Mad Max cosplay for a long time and it turned out perfect. Craig always puts every little detail in his costumes, including any badges on jackets and sewing details. Such a perfect Mad Max, I can't wait to see who he will cosplay as next.
Just as I was leaving the con I spotted this perfect Stephanie Brown Batgirl cosplay. The colours of this costume are so bold and eye catching. And the fact this wonderful cosplayer even had a cowl took it to the next level. Those things are hella expensive. Such a great costume to top off an amazing Oz Comiccon 2015.
Later in the week I will share with you my more personal experience at the con including a vlog and one of the most amazing moments of my life, meeting Bruce Campbell while wearing my Ash from Evil Dead 2 cosplay. So stay tuned and a huge thank you to all of the rad cosplayers who let me take their photo.
